Answer: Introduction In this easy, we will understand and focus on the importance of effective and efficient management in the hospitality and tourism business. In order to have competitive advantage in the organization, the hospitality and tourism industry have to work hard and bring their focus on the latest trends. Hospitality is a business in which the core function is to provide services to the others with excellent quality. It is a business in which we have to demonstrate the distinct in our organization to the customers. Now days, the trend has changed in hospitality and tourism industry. The new trend says that the organizations must adopt new technology and advancement taken place in the world. In this study, we will find the entire current and future trends that can be applied in the industry. The implications of these factors will help the industry to have a uniqueness and advantages as compared to others. In this essay the location is Tasmania. It is an island that is located approx 240 KM away from the South-East region of the Australia mainland. It is very famous for the natural beauty, contrasts, beautiful coastlines, very tall forests, lakes are very sparkling, rugged and natural mountains, etc. It is observed that most of the area of Tasmania is filled with resorts, heritage areas, refuge for animals and plants. There is robust tourism in Tasmania and the government is very much benefited due to this tourism. The issue found in this states is that there are very much restrictions, rules and regulations. It is needed to remove the extra ordinary restrictions (Baines, 2015). Number of visitors to Tasmania It is observed that from the last years the number of visitors ahs increased by a good percentage. The number of visitors by the year ending September 2016 was 1.19 million that means an increase of 4 %. The total number of visitors who had spent nights in Tasmania was 10.58 million that shows an increase of 8 % from the last year. The total number of expenditure one by the visitors in Tasmania was $ 2.07 billion that is more than 8 % from the last year (Pascoe, 2015). We can calculate the total increase in the visitors in Tasmania. These changes can takes place due to certain reasons (Zhao, and Ritchie, 2007). Economy of Tasmania The economic conditions of Tasmania are not very good as the rate of unemployment s 6.9 per cent that is the lowest third in the Australia. Despite of the fact, the state is trying to improve the economic conditions and continues to be a degree of confidence. The annual growth of Tasmania is 36 per cent which is quite good as compared to other states of Australia. As the globalization takes place in the worlds economy, the travelers have become free to travel to any place of the world. The number of international and national travelers has increased from 674 million to 787 million in the year 2005. In 2010, it has reached to 940 million that means there is an increase of 17.94 percent. The expenditure done by the international travelers is also increased by 93.26 % in comparison by 2005 (Kotler, 2006). The hospitality and tourism industrys concern has increased now for the safety and security of the passengers due to several terrorist activities. As we know that there are various types of terrorist attacks, robberies, kidnapping, assaults, etc. to avoid such critical situations, the industries are now focusing more on the safety and security of international and national passengers and travelers (Svensson, Svaeri, and Einarsen, 2009). As we know that the hospitality industry is the most diverse industry as it is related to the entire world. It is one of the driving forces that are providing opportunities for the hospitality ad tourism industries so that they can bring effectiveness and efficiency to improve their services. It helps to develop the sources, communication; orders for the bookings, etc. there are many other current trend and change like Emerging niche markets, Shared economy, Eco-tourism, Changes in airlines, etc. (Riley, and Love, 2000) Employment opportunities In Tasmania, hospitality and tourism industry provides a Wide range of employement opportunities and exciting jobs to the people of Tasmania. It is observed that most of the area of Tasmania is filled with resorts, heritage areas, refuge for animals and plants. There is robust tourism in Tasmania and the government is very much benefited due to this tourism. The travel and tourism industry includes casino management, food and beverages industry, etc. (Kapiki, 2013) In Tasmania we can look forward to airless and railways travel industry, travel agencies, offices of tourists, spas and wellness centres, companies of cruise, event management firms, casinos, catering companies , bars and club, private clubs, theatre venues, concerts, cultural venues, museums, parks based on theme, fitness clubs, organizations of sports like golf clubs, gyms, tennis facilities, etc. companies of real estate management, construction and development of hotels and restaurants, suppliers and manufacturers of the hospitality equipment, etc. (Law, and Chon, 2007) Conclusion At last, we can conclude that hotel and tourism industry is growing on a very fast scale leading to great opportunities for the people of Tasmania. Though there are many types of challenges and issues faced by these companies due to many reasons like technology, globalization, urbanization, etc. but if effective and efficient changes are take place in these industries.
